Apart from making Tandoori Chicken, this spice blend makes great sauces and spicy lentils, use to flavour homemade hummus or sprinkle onto some cubed tofu or vegetables before roasting. This packet marinates about 2kg of meat or seafood.

Recipes are provided online and on the packaging.

A Guide on How to Make Tandoori Chicken


80g Tandoori Spice Blend

2kg of chicken parts skinned

1 cup or 200g of plain yoghurt

2 tbsp cooking oil

2 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar


Using a bowl, mix Tandoori Spice Blend, yoghurt, cooking oil and lemon juice to make a marinade.

Add prepared chicken parts into the marinade, wrap or cover the meat and refrigerate it for 1 hour or up to 24 hours before cooking or overnight for better flavour before cooking.

Preheat the oven to 180°c/200°c on the grill.

Place marinated chicken on a tray and cook in the oven for 40-50 minutes, or until tender.

Garnish with lemon and serve with rice or with salad!
